I like this hair colorant because it is gentle to my hair. It does not have any chemicals and leaves my hair vibrant and soft. It covers grey completely. I use it about every six weeks.

Hair dye doesn't cover gray hair at all!
I never left feedback on Vitacost before. I have always liked the products Vitacost carries, didn't think my feedback would make any difference so did not bother. I purchased this Naturtint hair dye color & two other hair dye colors a few months ago. Finally got the chance to give it a try last Saturday. It doesn't have ammonia, that's great! But peroxide is just bad for hair as well, this contains peroxide, I didn't know better a few months ago when I purchased this.
Anyway, with this chemical, it didn't help to cover my gray hair (just about 20 strands of gray hair at the bangs), I followed all instruction carefully. However, gray hair not covered at all! Since I left very little bit of hair dye because my hair is fine, didn't need the whole bottle. Two days later, I applied half of the remains on the bangs area only... but color not picked up again and I didn't even use shampoo to rinse this time, just pure water for a longer time to rinse my hair. Well, color still not picked up after 2nd time. Then, I used the balance of hair dye after two days- but color still not picked up to dye the gray hair!! It is just so disappointing of the result, 3 hair dye in a week and won't cover my gray hair at the bangs! I am not even sure if it dyed my normal hair color dark brown since this color is lighter shade (light chestnut brown) and it is hard to tell on darker hair. But if the grays not dyed, I doubt it dyed my dark brown hair at all. The texture of my hair feels softer and shinier a bit though... but my hair has always been soft and shiny.
Putting chemical on my hair but still not getting the result for hair dye to the gray hair. I immediately searched for 100% natural (organic) hair dye, just purchased henna from Vitacost- brand of hair dye is Light Mountain. I hope this will work on covering gray hair. Would be another disappointment if it doesn't work. I would still strongly suggest using 100% natural (organic) henna instead, at least there is no chemical at all in it. No chemical is good for hair, including peroxide (even without ammonia)!

very good product
Easy to use, covers gray but still has P-phenylenediamine (or PPD) in very small amount. It can be a bit drying but includes a good conditioner. Sometimes I use my own conditioner that is heftier or also use argan oil. Would recommend it.
