excellent product, excellent price
i have been buying this for a year now and the quality is consistently excellent. i use it in a homemade breakfast muesli and my wife adds a big scoop to all her smoothies. it blends well without clumping and i have found just a tiny bit of some sweetener (i use a sprinkle of coconut sugar) cuts the hemp taste almost completely. my wife uses bananas in er smoothies and doesn't notice the taste at all. highly recommended.

Helps keep my colon rollin!
I use this in my smoothies almost every morning to help keep me regular. This product has a higher fiber content than regular hemp powders have, which I seem to need. I use 15 grams of it along with 15 grams of ground chia seed. Between the two, I get about 8 grams of protein and 12 grams of fiber. 7 grams of that fiber is insoluble fiber coming from the hemp protein powder. Add to that some fruit and veggies to the smoothie and you have even more fiber to start your day. If you were to use a serving suggestion of this product, which is 30 grams, you may find that your smoothies might have a bit of a gritty consistency. But I find the 15 gram serving amount along with the ground chia meal is just fine in terms of consistency. As far as taste, I don't find it has any negative affects on my smoothies at all.

Good Source of Fiber
I have been adding this to my broccoli, carrot, spinach, spring mix, banana, and strawberry whole food smoothie (not as gross as it sounds) for a while and it with the vegetables and fruits provides an added boost in the morning (better than coffee :)). This product's taste is bitter so I always balance it with fruit. The fiber helps maintain my digestive health (better than those other fiber supplements I have tried adding to water). The price is reasonable compared to other similar products and it allows us to afford to use this product everyday. I highly recommend it to friends.

Great vegetable protein
My favorite way to use this is in a morning hot cereal. I take 2 large tablespoons of this Hemp Protein, and 2 large tablespoons of ground flax, cinnamon, stevia and water. I cook it just until boiling, then cool and eat. My friend adds it to smoothies and loves it. Good protein and fiber all in one. Vegetable proteins are so much easier to digest, too. I alternate my proteins for even better health--hemp, rice, soy, whey, egg, nut butters--and Vitacost carries them all!
