NutriCology Modified Citrus Pectin Powder Description

Hypoallergenic.

Pectin, a soluble component of plant fiber derived from citrus fruit, is a complex polysaccharide rich in galactosyl and other carbohydrate varieties. While ordinary citrus pectin is beneficial in human nutrition, a new form called Modified Citrus Pectin (MCP), has clearly distinguished itself as being nutritionally superior.

Directions

As a dietary supplement, 5 to 15 grams per day: dissolve one rounded teaspoon (approx.5g) of powder in water, juice, or other liquid, one to three times a day, or as directed by your healthcare practitioner. Smaller doses may be utilized with nutritional benefits.

helps detox Sweetish taste, unlike other MCP powders. Doesn't dissolve well in water - becomes sticky. Seems to help detox. July 30, 2013
Best Used in Blender I mix this into a smoothie in the blender. Otherwise it doesn't mix well in water and makes a sticky gooey mess. Be aware that this product carries the California Proposition 65 warning. May 9, 2013
TOO MUCH SODIUM This is not identical to Pecta-Sol, the modified citrus pectin used in studies. This MCP contains 295 mg sodium per 5 gram serving, more than 3 times as much as the real Pecta-Sol or the NSI version of Pecta-Sol, both of which contain only 90 mg per 5 gm. Some of us in this world try to limit our sodium intake, and this product does not help with that. January 26, 2010
great product, great price This product is great, and I use it daily....good quality at a great price! October 19, 2009
