Quick Recovery So this is my first review after buying from Vita cost for a few months now. After Max is prob the best after workout Protein sup I have taken. I can go to the gym 6/7 days a week for 2-3hours and be giving 110% the next day for w/e workout i will be doing. I personally like the Vanilla, but have had the Chocolate too and they both taste great. I was actually surprised that a post workout protein drink could actually be effective in recovery time and taste awesome at the same time. After Max also mixes very well, you don't get any chunks of goo like you may experience with some other products. What I also recently started doing was mixing in my Creatine with my protein and it has a smooth mix to it so it's not just all at the bottom and you get that nasty last gulp in. May 27, 2011

Great after workout solution Mixes very easy, good taste, minimal bloat feeling, seems very effective. I take ON Pro Complex in the mornings, and ON After Max immediately after workout. I've noticed gains in strength and huge gains in recovery time. Very satisfied with this product. September 25, 2010

THE Best Protein/Recovery Drink Ever! I first read about this product in a men's fitness magazine and could only find it at VitaCost. If you want a recovery drink mix that tastes good, will help you build muscle mass/weight, and shorten your workout recovery time, this is the one. Have only ordered the Vanilla Ice Cream and have been using this product for at least 4 years. August 5, 2010

Optimum Nutrition After Max® Vanilla Ice Cream Directions

BLENDER: Add three scoops of After Max to a blender filled with 16 oz. of water, milk, or your favorite beverage. Blend for 15-20 seconds. Then add 3-4 ice cubes and blend for an additional 20 seconds.

SHAKE UP YOUR SHAKE: By adding a few high-energy ingredients to your shake you can blend up a delicious meal: try adding fresh bananas, peanut butter, flaxseed oil, coconut, slivered almonds, or other ingredients.

SHAKER: Bringing a shaker cup with you to the gym is the best way to get a powerful dose of protein and carbs immediately after your workout. Just add three scoops of After Max to your shaker cup and then pour in 16 oz. of your preferred beverage. Cover and shake for 25-30 seconds.

SPOON STIRRED: Add three scoops of After Max to a glass filled with 16 oz. of cold water, milk, or your favorite beverage. Then mix it up with a spoon for about 30 seconds or until powder is completely dissolved.

SUGGESTED USE: Begin drinking After Max immediately following exercise to support maximum recovery.
