Nice Casein, Nice price
mixes well with water or milk. tastes decent with water but a lot better with milk (I use 2%). Good texture but not so creamy/smooth. Overall a good choice once you factor in price, servings, and protein per serving.

This stuff is great. Just one scoop to meet the mark and I feel great the next day after hard workouts or runs... recovery is always better.

Very good product!
This is an amazing product! Here are a few answers from most general questions
1. Do I need Casein?
Almost everyone can benefit from Casein. However, NOT everyone needs a Casein supplement. I recommend this supplement to only someone who is at intermediate or advance fitness levels. Beginners are better off with Whey only or blend supplements.
2. Is Casein better than Whey?
Yes and No. Both Casein and Whey are proteins that are beneficial in different ways. Caesin is not a well rounded and balanced protein, it is a specialized protein. Casein is used for recovery ( high Glutamine and Anti Catabloic properties). Lastly its Biological value is only 77 compared to 104 of Whey.
However, it does something no other protein can. Casein is digested very very slow and release rich amount of Glutamine and other Amino acids which helps you recover and stay Anabolic.
3. What is Special about ON Casein?
First and foremost, its not exactly the most delicious and consistent protein by nature. Nothing that ON can do to change it, this is the nature of Casein. But, what ON does is that it gives you the best of Casein, the Micellar Casein. Making it the best Casein protein supplement in the market.
4. Why is Casein protein more expensive than Whey?
This is a fair question since, out of all the protein in Milk, 80% is Casein and 20% is Whey. This means Casein should be cheaper right? Well not exactly because out of the total Casein available, only limited amount of Casein is Micellar Casein (the ideal casein for the body). The cost of extracting Micellar Casein is way more than Whey.
Therefore as a rule of thumb, never go with a brand, in which Casein and Whey are priced at same. As per ground economics, Casein will always be more expensive than Whey.
5. How is the taste and are there clumps?
The test is quite good in my opinion. I always go with Chocolate. There are a lot of clumps so use an actual blender and not a shaker/blender bottle.
