Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey Coffee -- 5 lbs
Might take some getting used to
The coffee-flavored ONGS protein contains the same nutritional content as the other brand flavors (more or less), so I will just review the way it tastes, which is OK. I mix mine with Unsweetened Vanilla Flavored Almond Milk, which is what I use to make all of my shakes.
At first glance, when mixed, the coffee flavor is a bit more frothy than the ONGS Chocolate Malt flavor that I usually use. It also appears and is a touch thinner in consistency than the aforementioned flavor. The coffee blend seems to be attempting to achieve the taste of a slightly creamy and lightly sweetened flavor of coffee, which is probably not going to come across as offensive to anyone. The sweetness, however, seems to present a slightly generic taste to me, and which the other ONGS flavors I like do not seem to contain (this may just be a matter of preference-I am a big coffee drinker). My gf has suggested (as did one of the reviewers above), that if you mix a scoop of chocolate with the coffee flavor ONGS, it produces a desired effect, although I have not tried doing this thus far.
So, not sure I would buy this again over my favorite flavored proteins by this same brand, but this is supposedly limited edition, so it's all moot anyway.

Simply the best in every aspect
I tried many vanilla casein , whey vanilla and chocolate and other brands but this, THIS is the real deal! It smell good , it taste good, when you open the box it look so delicious you would want to eat it without anything , just from the bottle itself.
I tried to put vanilla powder in oatmeal and it just didn't work, this add a great taste to anything.

I also have had the Mocha Capp. I think the coffee has a great taste as well. With milk, tastes just like a cold smoothie with a bit of sweetness. Thinking of just mixing with some extreme chocolate and getting my own Mocha Capp blend. For the money and ingred, this product is awesome.

Optimum Nutrition is great quality. I can usually find better deals on protein, but you also pay more for a quality product. The coffee flavored protein is great (actually tastes a lot different than the mocha cappuccino flavor that Optimum also makes)! It actually tastes like coffee that has had a little bit of creamer or milk added to it. That's if you just use water. If you use milk, it tastes even better! Definitely loved it!
