Switching to Petguard

Gradually introduce your dog to a new food by mixing the new food with the current food and decreasing the current food over several days. This will help avoid digestive problems associated with abrupt changes in diet. Overfeeding may cause loose stools and other health problems so feed appropriately.

Puppies

PetGuard LifePath may be fed dry or moistened. Puppies begin to eat small bites of solid food at three to four weeks of age. Keep a bowl of moistened food for your puppies to eat whenever they want until weaning takes place. Weaning occurs generally at six to eight weeks of age. After weaning keep bowl filled with dry food at all times or schedule feedings of moistened food three times a day until your puppies are seven months old. Then reduce your scheduled feedings to two times a day until you puppies are a year old.

Adults

Depending on breed, dogs mature to adulthood between seven and ten months. The quantity of food your dog will eat to maintain optimum body condition will vary based on age, activity, breed, size and environment. Be your pet's best friend and do not allow your dog to become overweight.
