Stovetop Method:
Use two cups of rice to three cups of cold water. Combine in a heavy pot with a tight fitting lid. Bring water and rice to a full hard-boil, reduce heat to low and simmer covered for 40 minutes. Do not lift lid during cooking process. Open lid, fluff rice and enjoy!
Electric Rice Cooker Method:
Using measuring device provided with your cooker, pour desired amount of rice into cooker and fill with water to corresponding level marked on the inside of the cooker. Cover with lid and soak for 10 minutes before starting to allow water to absorb into kernels and promote even cooking. Start cooker and do not lift lid once cooking begins. When cooking is complete and cooker has switched to warm, let rice sit, covered, to steam an additional 10 minutes. Open lid, fluff rice and enjoy.
