Awful artificial sort of smell
This smells very strongly. It smells sort of like roses but more artificial than that and way too strong. It says the fragrance is "naturally derived," which I suppose means it's phalate-free, but that's little consolation when it's in your face. I guess the good news is that even though it just about bowls me over, I'm don't seem to be particularly allergic to the smell. But I greatly prefer a shampoo that has essential oils or absolutes listed so that I know what I am getting (and also know that it really is natural) and whether my noggin and skin can handle it. I am on a tight budget, so I may try to use it up. But I will be revolted every time, I'm afraid, if I can handle it at all. This should have at least said what kind of fragrance it had. I thought it would be made to smell like chamomile, which I could have handled.
In my quest for natural shampoos, I'm beginning to think I should just go ahead and use up my plasticy artificially fragranced drugstore stuff, as sometimes the alternatives scarcely seem better.
It sudsed up better than some natural shampoos do.
