The B vitamins act as coenzymes in helping to release energy from the carbohydrates and fats you eat. And this timed-release version helps ensure that these vitamins stay with you all day. Which is important since the B vitamins are water soluble, and they tend to be excreted rather quickly in the urine. But like I said, the time-release helps prevent that. August 15, 2010
