| Arginine |
| Description: Arginine is an amino acid used by the body in the production of nitric oxide, a compound that helps increase blood flow. Taken in small doses, it has been shown to help improve circulation in Congestive Heart Failure patients.1 Arginine retards the growth of tumors and cancer by enhancing immune function. It aids in liver detoxification by neutralizing ammonia. Arginine is important for muscle metabolism. It helps to maintain a proper nitrogen balance by acting as a vehicle for transportation and storage, and aiding in the excretion, of excess nitrogen. Because arginine is a component of collagen and aids in building new bone and tendon cells, it can promote healthy muscles and cartilage. Arginine works with ornithine in the production of growth hormone. Natural Sources: Almonds, dairy, meats Useful in treatment of: Cancer, Congestive Heart Failure, Male Infertility.
