| Description: Butchers broom is an herb that has been used for centuries to improve circulation and ease the problems caused by constipation and water retention.1 It contains flavonoids, which work to strengthen capillary walls. It also contains ruscogenins, compounds which have antiinflammatory and vasoconstrictor activity. Additionally, butchers broom contains glycolic acid, which produces a diuretic effect, and can be used to alleviate constipation.
