Pantethine
Description: Pantethine is a variant form of pantothenic acid, also known as Vitamin B5. It is essential for the production, transport, and release of energy from fats. It is also important to the synthesis of cholesterol.
Deficiencies often occur with alcoholism, but are otherwise rare.
Pantethine appears to significantly lower cholesterol levels while increasing levels of HDL ("good cholesterol").
