Silicon
Description: Silicon is a trace mineral that is believed to be needed in the making and maintaining of connective tissue. It is also found in bone areas that are undergoing mineralization.
Silicon
1 may be helpful in the treatment of osteoporosis. The herb Horsetail is rich in silicon.

Natural Sources: Beer, Root Vegetables, and Whole Grains.

Useful in treatment of: osteoporosis.

Recommended Dosage: 1 to 2 mg daily.

Contraindications: None for silicon taken orally. Inhaled silicon may lead to the disease silicosis.
