| Description: Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) is a popular treatment for fevers and congestion. The plants flowers are used to make a tea which can clear the body of chemical imbalances. Its root can be chewed to alleviate the pain of toothache. Yarrow has long been used to ease indigestion. It reduces smooth muscle spasming in animals,1and may do the same with humans. Useful in treatment of: indigestion and heartburn. Recommended Dosage: 1 to 4 grams, 3 times daily. Contraindications: May cause light sensitivity. Some people are allergic to the plant.
