Add 1 tbsp. olive oil into a medium sauce pan, and sauté the grains over Medium-High heat. Stir frequently until the grains are golden brown (about 2 to 3 minutes).
Add 2 cups of water and seasoning. Stir and bring to a boil.
Reduce the heat to Medium-Low, cover and simmer for 22 to 25 minutes or until water is absorbed.
Remove from heat, stir and re-cover. Let stand for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork before serving.
Combine grains, seasoning, 2 cups of hot water, and 1 tbsp of olive oil (optional) into a 2-qt microwaveable safe glass bowl. Stir well.
Cover tightly with microwave-safe lid or plastic wrap and microwave on HIGH for 5 minutes.
Reduce to Medium (50%) for 16-20* minutes. Stir occasionally. Remove from microwave. Let stand covered for 5 minutes or until water is absorbed.
*Microwave ovens vary. Cooking times are approximate. Adjust cooking time as needed.
Chef's Tip: Sauté 1 cup of eggplant and add to prepared rice.

I like this when I can't think of anything to make and I want something quick. Just steam a few vegetables and you have a great meal.
