Environmentally friendly training pants do the job
My son is a size 4T & 38 lbs, though he's slim. The 4T size fit him well - I do not feel they run big. It's probably more about body type. I bought a package of 5T on clearance some place and they are quite large in comparison - and tall - they stick up above his pants & jeans. These training pants do work, but certainly don't hold as much as a diaper & aren't meant to. 7th Generation is currently promoting The Lorax movie & the Lorax does appear on the training pants near the waist. However, it's not that big of a deal to me and the illustrations aren't that noticable, though I know some folks do have issues with that.

just training pants
There is nothing special about these training pants other than the fact they look like they were dragged through the mud, but thats the lack of chlorine, which is a good thing. I found they ran small. I bought the 3t-4t for my almost 32 pound almost 3 year old and they are a tight fit. She cannot pull these up and down herself. We'll use them for nighttime and long car rides but not for actual training purposes.
