The spout keeps the product from leaking; but I find I have to use significant pressure sometime to get the liquid out of the bottle. The smell is pleasant.

This product is too thick; bottle awkward
The liquid was thick and the bottle inconvenient to use.

Love the product BUT HATE THE DESIGN OF THE BOTTLE
I hated the cap design and the way the liquid pours into the cap instead of into the water when you squirt each time you use it you'll hate the design. Otherwise, the product is a success. I almost called Seventh Generation to tell them to please please please redesign their bottle cap and perhaps even the whole bottle design itself, and use the design bottle they have for their other dish detergents instead. My goodness, this product is too wonderful of a product to be stuck in this bottle. I probably won't buy again because of the terrible time with trying to squirt it out. I had bought 2 bottles of this stuff and it drove me nuts every time I had to squirt. (If I'd have had old bottles of Seventh Generation laying around, I'd have poured this into one of them, but we recycle every week and I didn't have any around to use. I mean this bottle really stinks Seventh Generation, I will be contacting you and letting my opinion be known. I don't have a dishwasher, and 9 people live in this house with me, and the dishes get cleaned with this product very nicely, but WHAT A MESS trying to get the squirt out!!!!!!!!) My goodness!!!!!!!!!

This dish soap smells good and works well on removing grease and oil.
