Softer clothes I like to use natural products as much as possible. My washer is in my basement which is cool in the winter as the wood stove does not heat there and the previous fabric softener I use turned into a thick paste-like product when it was cool. I found that this product does not do that and keeps our fabrics soft and allergy-free. November 16, 2012

Good for sensitive skin My skin is very sensitive. This product softens the fabric and does not irritate my skin. It is the only fabric softener I have found that I can use without eventual irritation. The only drawback is that the smell can be a bit over powering right out of the bottle but it goes away when the fabric softener is mixed with the rinse water. September 30, 2012

Great fabric softener for sensitive babies Our son is sensitive to dryer sheets and to perfumes. This is the only fragrance-free liquid fabric softener that we have been able to find. Although I am not always a huge fan of Seventh Generation products, I have to say that this stuff is great. It really gets our clothes soft and fluffy, and it does not cause any nasty reactions in our son. I also have not had issues with it leaving oily stains on our clothes, like I have had with other liquid softeners. September 12, 2012

Seventh Generation Natural Fabric Softener Free and Clear Directions

Fill to Medium line (3/4 oz) for medium loads, for large loads fill to Large line (1 oz). Add into water, not directly on laundry, during final rinse cycle. Use appropriate dispenser if available. Contains 42 loads as measured to medium dose.

Ingredients: Aqua, dihydrogenated palmoylethyl hydroxyethylmonium methosulfate (plant-based), calcium chloride and sodium carbonate (mineral), methylisothiazolinone and benzisothiazolinone (synthetic). Trace materials are commonly present in cleaning product ingredients.

Safety Information: If Swallowed: Drink plenty of water and consult a physician. Eye Contact: If this product comes in contact with eyes, flush out with water. Not for use on children's sleepwear or other garments labeled as flame resistant as it may reduce flame resistance. Fabric softeners can increase the flammability of fabric. Avoid using this product on fluffier, cotton-based fabrics such as fleece, flannel and terrycloth.
