Source Naturals Pea Protein Power™ -- 32 oz
Good protein, awful taste
I got this powder because I can't do dairy or soy and the amount of protein per Tbsp is comparable to whey (great!) -- but when I put in 4Tbsp of this like you would for most other types of protein powder, I wanted to spit it back out. I choked it down but just couldn't finish the last couple gulps. I make a shake daily with almond milk, peanut butter, cocoa powder, a banana, and protein powder. It was my favorite meal of the day when I made it with a different protein powder. Guess I'll have to just use this up via the recommended serving size (and just miss out on getting as much protein) since the flavor was so overpowering, then buy something else. Not sure if this is what all pea protein tastes like, but it was disgusting.

Tough to Swallow
This product has a very earthy, unpleasant taste. I've tried mixing it with a number of things and I just can't get over the taste and after taste. I've even tried to give it away and no one wants it.
At least it didn't cost much.

This is a horrible tasting product. I've been using Pea protein from Vitacost and it's great. So it's not the pea protein that's the problem.

I like this product because it's natural and unsweetened. Many of the whey protein powders are too sweet and too processed with a lot of artificial ingredients. This product blends in with everything and it's not gritty.

didn't like at first
I have been experimenting with different protein powders since switching to a mostly plant based diet almost 2 years ago. Whey and egg white are out, obviously. I have only used non-flavored powders as I like the versatility of adding my own flavor. I like soy the best, but am wary of soy isolate due to what I have read. Long story short, I like this product; but only mixed with 8 oz. of OJ. With other juices/liquids the pea taste was too prominent for me.
