Starwest Botanicals Organic Marshmallow Root Cut and Sifted -- 1 lb
FEELS SO GOOD IN MY BELLY!
I make root teas like rice. Bring 1 qt clean water and a fat tbsp or 2 of marshmallow root to a boil, then take it down to a simmer, covered for 20-30 minutes. turn off the heat and let it sit until it cools off to room temp. Strain that tea and pour it into ice cubes to use in your smoothies or warm it back up for tea or a million other applications when convenient for YOU.

Not a Good Form for Making it into a Tea
For my purpose, I would have given this 2 stars but for another purpose I'm sure its a great product. This Cut is Not a Good Form for Making it into a Tea. I was looking for Marshmallow Root Powder but Vitacost didn't have it so I order this one that is "cut and sifted." It is not easy to make tea out of this cut root vs the powdered root. I tried making tea without blending it first in my blendtec and found that didnt really work for I'd be drinking a lot of "sticks" when really all I want is the Goo to line my stomach. I take Marshmallow tea daily so blending it in a blender before making it into a tea is a hassle and a waste of time. Again, if youre using this for a different application then I'm sure its great but this "cut" does not work easily for tea making.

if you gonna use it to create hair gel just note it is not as much strong as flax seeds gel. the best is to cook them together for a strong beneficial gel.

Various Uses Including Tea and Soap
I use this for making marshmallow root soap from. I use the soap while camping because marshmallow is good for the hair and body. Makes a great dual purpose shampoo and body bar. It can also be used for tea. I have no reason to give this less than 5 stars.

Most reasonably priced
My mother uses this to control her kidney stones formation. We shopped at the different stores and web sites and found this one to be best in price and very good quality.
