If it is the spicata species, then it is a great product. Mentha spicata has been used in studies which have found it to be of benefit for testosterone balancing. I have used Starwest Botanicals spicata species and noticed immediate results with facial acne (mild at the time), skin redness and reducing the effects of testosterone on unwanted hair growth. The tea itself had a fresh spearmint smell, very refreshing. Spearmint does not agree with everyone so steep the first cup for a couple of minutes only and test. Unfortunately, I recently ordered from vitacost and received Mentha gracilis, though the site lists the spicata species. Be sure they have the correct tea in stock before ordering. I was given a prompt refund for the error, but i am still waiting to hear from them if they have the correct item in stock. Five stars for spicata leaf. One star for gracilis - bland taste, dull smell and doesn't have the same benefits. I do recommend the true spearmint herb though. Review based on product received.
