Surya Brasil Henna Cream Hair Coloring Mahogany -- 2.31 fl oz
I *love*Surya henna
I have used almost every color in the dark brown to red range. They are effortless, mix well, can be layered, and wash away in a few weeks so there are no worries. Every time I apply henna my hair feels great.
The Surya leave-ins, conditioners, and treatment packs are brilliant too.

nice color - easy to use
I love using henna hair color. With being premixed and ready to go it is so easy! goes on easy (be sure to put a protective lotion layer on your face), washes out easy and gives great color that lasts. I have been using this product for years and it's the only one I use!

Outstanding Product and Value
I have been using all natural hair color for several decades, and I tried this product because I like to explore new items on the market for comparison sake. My hair is entirely grey and long(half way down my back) and I appreciate this on two counts: first, the conditioning it provides to my hair and second, it does cover the grey effectively. I actually have strangers stop me to tell me how beautiful my hair is, and to me that says it all.
Another plus is that the product is stable. I open the pre-mixed bottle to touch up grey roots a bit, and replace the cap & place it in the refrigerator. In my experience, the product in the opened bottle is just as effective as it is when it is fresh.

Wish I would have discovered this years ago!
This stuff is wonderful. First of all, the color, while a noticeable, vibrant red, is a much more 'natural' red than the many 'traditional' colors I have tried over the last 15 years. I like deep, earthy colors - and have found most traditional colors be too purple - making it look (IMO) a little too much like a raver or a punk rocker. I tried over-the-counter colors, I tried mixing my own from beauty supply stores, and I tried paying tons of money at a salon for a custom-mixed color. This is a gorgeous, deep, woody, cinnamon, dark, foxy, red-brown that is exactly what I have been looking for for years. It is temporary, and faded beautifully over 3-4 weeks - which is perfect for me right now, as I am growing out the remnants of permanent chemical haircolor. I wash my hair every 2-3 days. There is still a hint of it left. My hair is naturally light brown, and now has a copper glow to it that I love, and that looks natural. I just put my second application on. I think it smells lovely, floral and herbaceous - certainly much better than anything chemical. It left my hair feeling soft and nourished. I finally tried henna because the last chemical hair dye I used caused tons of my hair to fall out. I wish I had tried this years ago. Yes, purchase it from Vitacost because it is a little cheaper than in stores. Love this stuff.

Leaves hair smelling good! Not that dye smell!
First of all, buy it here instead of at Whole Foods. It's $11.99 there. I was impatient and didn't want to wait for it to ship.
I have thick, long hair that covers my chest. It's already naturally red (it's auburn so it's dark) but I enjoy adding a touch more red every now and then. What's crazy is I bought 2 bottles, expecting to need both, and I only needed to use 1!!! This stuff goes a long way!
A lot of red gets imparted to your hair with this product. It's easier for me to tell on the parts of my hair that have natural highlights since those those turned very red!! I like that it made my hair darker too. I wouldn't mind going even a little darker! Overall, I'm pleased with this product. Also, if you've done powder henna you know that leafy smell that doesn't go away for days! Not with this product!! Doesn't smell all leafy nor does it smell like those drugstore dyes!!! It just smells like flowers- as if you changed your conditioner.
