Long - lasting and gentle
This deodorant crystal has lasted me for at least a couple of YEARS now! It works great. Since I have been using deodorant crystals I find I no longer need to shower every day, since I stay smelling fresh for 2 or even 3 days. They do not bother my incredibly sensitive skin or my very asthmatic lungs. Their main weakness is that they are slippery when wet and shatter when dropped. This one is attached to an easy-to-hold plastic base that is made of a non-brittle plastic (others that I have had came in a plastic tube that shattered nearly as easily as the crystal, which it did not even hold that well). So with this one even if it does drop, if it lands on the base it is still OK. This makes it last much longer.
After a while this crystal started picking up a bit of odor from me - the crystal was less smooth by this point, and I think some bacteria were hiding in the cracks. Needless to say, it did not work so well then, but I cleaned it with a nail brush and then it was good as new. Eventually it shrank to the point that it fell out of the base, so I took it off and kept using it. I finally dropped it the other day and it shattered so it is finally time to replace it.
