Tooth Soap Peppermint Gel -- 1 oz
May work for biofilms???
I had read that toothpastes with glycerin leave a coating on your teeth that prevents them from remineralizing. I have sensitive teeth so I figured they needed to be remineralized. But I still had not purchased the toothsoap yet. Then I developed a case of strep throat which kept recuring over a 6 month period. In doing research about how to cure strep I learned about "biofilms." These are a type of film that bacteria such as strep and others use to shield themselves from antibiotics and the immune system. So basically you can take antibiotics and it will not cure the strep because the bacteria are hiding in biofilms. I purchased the tooth soap hoping that it would be better than toothpaste at removing biofilms. I did get rid of the strep but I cannot say if the toothsoap helped or not as I was doing a lot of things to cure it at the time. But I like the idea of the toothsoap and it does make my teeth feel clean. The only reason I gave it only 4 stars is because of the taste. It tastes like SOAP! No flavor, just plain old soap! But I think the benefits are worth it so I will keep using it.
