Triple Leaf Tea Cholesterid Pu-Erh Tea Description
Pu-erh tea has been researched for its health promoting properties. Tea from the tea plant, Camellia sinensis, helps to maintain cholesterol levels that are already within the normal range. The Chinese attribute special qualities and health benefits to pu-erh tea. Traditionally, this milk and delicious black tea was used to help promote healthy digestion, especially of fat, and balance health. Green, white, black and oolong teas, "cha", all are made from the tea plant, Camellia sinensis. This pu-erh tea is made from Yunnan toucha tea, one of the few types of pu-erh tea made from an ancient subspecies of the tea plant, Camellia sinensis assamica, grown in the Yunnan province of China. "Tuo cha" means bowl-shaped tea. It refers tot he method of shaping the pu-erh tea during drying. Experts recommend drinking three cups of the tea everyday. Enjoy it hot or iced, as is, or with lemon and your favorite sweetener. HOT TEA: Pour 1 cup of boiling water over a tea bag. Let steep 3-5 minutes. Remove the tea bag, squeeze gently into the cup.
ICED TEA: Pour 1 cup of boiling water over 2 tea bags. Let steep 3-5 minutes. Remove the tea bags, squeeze gently, then add ice.
