Easy on stomach, easy to swallow. I previously bought a combo capsule with ALA and Acetyl L Carnitine, but found it irritated my acid reflux. I have no problems with this gel cap and find it easy to swallow as well. Just need to find a gel cap for Acetyl L Carnitine too and I'll have it made. February 28, 2013

Major antioxidant in Gel form This is my first experience using ALA in a softgel, having taken this wonderful nutrient for many years in a dry cap; softgels tend to be better absorbed, and at 300 mg., this is a substantial potency. Do take with a meal that has fat or oil to enhance absorption, as ALA is fat soluble! December 14, 2012

Alpha lipoic acid (ALA) is a coenzyme found in the mitochondria of cells. Its primary function is to serve as a cofactor in the body’s energy production process. It’s also a well-known antioxidant, sometimes called “the universal antioxidant” because of its effectiveness in both water-based substances (such as blood) and fatty tissues and membranes.*
