Vitacost Certified Organic Pure Matcha Green Tea Powder - Non-GMO -- 1.75 oz (50 g)
At least it's GMO and green
I can't really recommend this green tea. It's certified GMO and makes a matcha tea that's a pretty color. However, it does not have the fragrant, plesant, fresh taste i was expecting. I will try to finish it for the health benefits and to not waste it, but won't repurchase.

Not a great matcha
I love matcha and drink it all the time. I couldn't believe the great price on this matcha and it was BOGO so I was really excited to get it. Then I tried it...it was not great. I decided I won't get this matcha again, and would rather pay a higher price to get the better quality matcha from other places. Just had kind of a stale flavor, versus the fresh grassy flavor matcha should have. The color was off too, usually its a nice bright green, but this was a drab olive color.

great for smoothies
I bough this product because it was the cheapest price on 50 grams I could find on the internet. I first tried the matcha as a tea and didn't enjoy it much but i realize i'm doing this for my healthy --- not for the taste. I DID however find myself a solution to the problem. Now every day I make a fruit smoothie with yogurt, frozen blueberries, bananas, and matcha. So healthy and so yummy all at the same time!

Great Protein Shake Addition
Wasn't quite sure what to expect, but I actually really like the flavor of this in protein shakes and chia pudding. I don't find it overly bitter, it is mildly grassy and green tea tasting and the price is good.
My favorite way to use this is paired with vanilla extract and peppermint flavor in a protein smoothie. The same flavors go well with chia pudding (especially when layered with chocolate chia pudding (!!). The matcha flavor also goes well with pistachio.
Really perks up boring diet foods, and will definitely be a pantry staple for me. Can't wait to try more recipes.

great product...messy though
I love the tea...it tastes a bit bitter, but that's normal. My only complaint is that it gets really messy trying to use the small scoop that it comes with. So I just use my own measuring spoons.
