"Melatonin is an all around safe and effective sleep aid. I, however, found the time release capsules takes too long to kick in and by then I still struggle to sleep. I have best results taking a cheaper tablet, all 3 mg. at once, 20 minutes before I go to bed. Granted...it will wear off in a few hours, so if you awaken you can take another half tablet, but if you keep sleeping great! With the time release, I fear staying awake too long."
