Vitacost Whole Food Gluten Free Homestyle Biscuit Mix - Non-GMO -- 17.76 oz (504 g)
I have tried most if not all gf biscuit mixes. This is hands down the best. I do chop the butter, then stick it in the freezer while pulling the rest of it together (or being distracted by the kiddo), so the butter is cooold. I'm not sure about rising, I think they do, but I've decided next time to make them a little thicker. They separate like a normal biscuit so I can make little bacon and egg biscuits -yumm. You can cut the mix and recipe in half, and make only half at a time, which is good because otherwise I'll eat the whole batch, and I don't need to be doing that! Also, I'll use a half batch, roll it out and place it on top of a meat and vegetable stew mixture and make a pot pie sort of thing (cook it the length of time on top of the mixture).

They have the taste, but not the texture
I am wondering if I did something wrong, or if these just aren't that fluffy, but they came out like hockey pucks. I followed the instructions, including to chill them before baking, and they did not rise at all. Too bad, I really wanted some biscuits.

These are literally the best biscuits I have ever made. The texture is what I have wanted to make. These are my first gf biscuits. I bought a box on BOGO free and I am so sad that I didn't buy more. I came back to get 6 more boxes to keep in stock.
Super easy to make. Just followed instructions & used my food processor, however I was too impatient this time to stick the dough in the fridge before baking.
If I did not know they were gf I would just think someone did an amazing job.

Soft & Delicious GF Biscuits
The biscuits were delicious! Even family members without food allergies enjoyed them. They were slightly crispy on the outside plus soft and fluffy on the inside. I followed the additional instructions so that the biscuits would be safe for family members with food allergies. Palm shortening, flax, warmed rice milk, and lemon juice were added to this recipe. The only problem was the dough was too gummy and couldn't be rolled. I placed gummy dough in the refrigerator and then scooped the chilled dough onto cookie sheets before baking it.
