Like other cinnamons, Saigon, or Vietnamese, cinnamon is made by grinding the dried, inner bark of a tropical evergreen tree. But the bark from which Saigon cinnamon is ground produces a powder with a higher natural essential oil content than other cinnamon varieties, resulting in a darker color and more complex, sweeter taste.
How to enjoy it:
To enhance the flavor of your favorite foods and beverages, start by adding a quarter teaspoon of cinnamon—mix well. Add additional cinnamon sparingly until the desired taste is achieved.
