Riboflavin (Vitamin B2)

Vitamin B2, also known as riboflavin, is essential for red blood cell production, maintenance of healthy skin and tissues, nervous system health and normal metabolism of fats, carbohydrates and proteins into energy. Vitamin B2 riboflavin also has antioxidant properties and is believed to be especially beneficial for eye health, helping to protect against harmful free radicals. The vitamin riboflavin can be found in dark green leafy vegetables, almonds, mushrooms, nuts and whole grains. Vitamin B2 can also be obtained through multi-vitamins or stand-alone vitamin B2 riboflavin supplements.**
