great texture and taste
I usually try to only use 100% whole grain but these are a nice treat. I tried the whole grain ones...they are ok but sometimes I like these better

Not heavy like semolina wheat pasta!
I love angel hair pasta and am thrilled to purchase white Vitaspelt on Vitacost. It does have a slightly different taste than semolina pasta, but it's a good taste and nothing I didn't get used to after the first few times. I actually prefer this taste now, as it's not as bland as regular pasta. I also feel that Vitaspelt is not as heavy in the stomach, as regular pasta tends to be gummy and binding, which is not good for the intestines and digestion. Spelt is more water soluble, so nutrients are absorbed better making it easy to digest. It's also high in protein and it's a good fiber resource. All in all, it's much better for you! I prefer the white to the whole wheat, as the whole wheat Vitaspelt is more grainy.

not gummy.
some non-wheat pastas are gummy, and just taste "off." Vita spelt, especially the angel hair, tastes very close to wheat pasta and has a nice texture.
