VitaSpelt Organic Spelt Angel Hair -- 8 oz
Spelt angel hair
My local organic grocery store carries spelt, but not angel hair. ( ultra thin) This is our favorite pasta since it is better for you. I believe that even gluten intolerant people can eat it!

I am trying to get away from all pasta products made with "wheat".
I have changed all my baking flours to spelt and have made some really delicious cookies and dessert loafs with this grain. This pasta is EXCELLENT....great taste and consistency. One thing you must really be aware of is the cooking time!! DO NOT OVERCOOK! Remember, it wouldn't be the products fault....it would be yours.
A little pricey....that is the down side.

Best Healthy Pasta
This is the best healthy pasta I have ever eaten. It tastes like regular pasta so no one knows it is healthy. I get the angel hair because it mixes well and is better also because I have braces so it does not get into them. I have used regular tomato pasta sauce and also made a casserole with chicken.

great texture and taste
I usually try to only use 100% whole grain but these are a nice treat. I tried the whole grain ones...they are ok but sometimes I like these better

Not heavy like semolina wheat pasta!
I love angel hair pasta and am thrilled to purchase white Vitaspelt on Vitacost. It does have a slightly different taste than semolina pasta, but it's a good taste and nothing I didn't get used to after the first few times. I actually prefer this taste now, as it's not as bland as regular pasta. I also feel that Vitaspelt is not as heavy in the stomach, as regular pasta tends to be gummy and binding, which is not good for the intestines and digestion. Spelt is more water soluble, so nutrients are absorbed better making it easy to digest. It's also high in protein and it's a good fiber resource. All in all, it's much better for you! I prefer the white to the whole wheat, as the whole wheat Vitaspelt is more grainy.
