if this zinc works as well as cold-eez, that would be great because it tastes so much better. i only tried it once, so ... remains to be seen

Great Taste
These lozenges taste so much better than those other kind you get at the drugstore. I think they are pretty effective as well. Can't stand the other ones now that I have had these. Will always keep on hand.

The lozenges had an aftertaste I didn't care for so I wouldn't buy them again. Nothing wrong with them - just my personal preference.

Causing stomach problem
Not sure what type of zinc is in these but both me and my husband had one and the next morning very bad cramps and diarrhea. I also brought these for my mother and the same problem with cramps and diarrhea.
