Ingredients
Chili Maple Pecans
- 1 cup raw, unsalted pecan halves
- 2 Tbsp. maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp. coconut oil or butter
- Pinch sea salt
- ¾ tsp. chili powder Note: Reduce to ½ tsp. for more subtle chili flavor.
Snack Mix
- 1 box Simple Mills Gluten-Free Farmhouse Cheddar Crackers
- ¼ cup sunflower seeds
- 2/3 cup unsweetened and unsulfured dried apples chopped
- ¼ cup golden raisins
- ½ cup chopped jerky beef, turkey, plant-based, etc.
- 1 batch chili maple pecans
Instructions

In cast iron or other large heavy-bottomed pan over medium-high heat, melt oil or butter.

Add pecans and stir until coated.

Add maple syrup and stir about 1 minute until well-coated. Remove pan from heat.

Sprinkle on chili powder and salt. Set aside to cool and harden.

Into large bowl, add completely cooled pecans and break up if stuck together.

Add crackers, sunflower seeds, apples, raisins and jerky. Gently toss to combine.
Tips

Store in airtight container at room temperature and eat within 48 hours.

For longer-lasting mix, substitute chili maple pecans with raw or roasted pecans and store in airtight container for 1 week.
