Though the weather outside is frightful, the snooze button doesn’t have to win the war on dark winter days. Wake yourself up to this cinnamon bun protein shake. You’ll sip on naturally energizing maca that’s hidden under a fluffy, sweet-roll-flavored blanket. Mmm…cozy.

Protein Shake Recipe: Energizing Cinnamon Roll

Cinnamon Bun Protein Shake

Serves 1

Ingredients

1 serving Vega Vanilla Sport Performance Protein
¼ cup gluten-free rolled oats
1 tsp. Vega Maca Powder
1 Tbsp. almond butter
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
2-3 pitted dates
1 large frozen banana
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla extract
Pinch of pink sea salt

Toppings (optional): ground cinnamon, a cinnamon stick and/or chopped pecans

Directions: In a blender, combine all ingredients and process until smooth. Add toppings, if desired, and enjoy!
