Creamy Cilantro & Pea Chutney

If you’re looking for something a little different to nosh on, pair this savory chutney with baked pita chips for a crunchy, Indian-inspired snack. This bright-green sauce is made from fresh green peas, Greek yogurt, aromatic seasonings and crushed red pepper (for an added kick if you so choose) to fire up your taste buds in the tastiest way possible. Make it vegan by simply replacing Greek yogurt with dairy-free yogurt. Just store it in the fridge to chill and serve! Creamy Cilantro and Pea Chutney Topped with Crushed Red Pepper |


1 cup fresh green peas, cooked
1 cup plain low-fat Greek yogurt
3 Tbsp. Simply Organic Cilantro Leaf
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. Simply Organic Crushed Red Pepper (optional)
1/4 tsp. Simply Organic Ground Ginger Root
1/2 tsp. Simply Organic Ground Cumin
1-1/2 tsp. Frontier Organic, Fair Trade Certified™ Cane Sugar
1/2 tsp. sea salt


  1. In medium mixing bowl, mash together peas and yogurt. For a smoother texture, use blender.
  2. Add cilantro, red pepper, ginger, cumin, salt and sugar and mix well. Add lemon juice and continue mixing.
  3. Chill before serving.
