How does the fat loss monitor work? Body fat is tissue that has little electric conductivity. The Fat Loss Monitor sends an extremely weak electrical current through your body to determine the amount of fat tissue.
The Fat Loss Monitor uses the Bioelectrical Impedance (BI) method. The body fat percentage is calculated by a formula that includes electric resistance, height, weight, age and gender.
