African Red Tea Imports Organic Rooibos Sceletium Description

  • Organic
  • Naturally Caffeine Free
  • Rich in Minerals
  • Low in Tannic Acid
  • High in Antioxidants

Scientific Studies show that Red Tea is naturally high in Super Oxide Dismutase (SOD), an outstanding antioxidant. Red Tea contains very little tannin, a substance that is known to affect the metabolism by decreasing absorption of certain nutrients like iron and protein. Sceletium may elevate mood, decrease anxiety, stress and tension, and has also been used as an appetite suppressant by shepherds walking long distances in arid areas.

Since 1900, Red Tea has been treasured as an elixir for the mind, body and spirit. The local "Mountain People" were drinking a particular beverage that they called "Red Bush" in English. This rich, red tea comes from a wild plant of the legume family called "aspalathus linearis" which grows on the slopes of the Cederberg Mountains in Cape Town. They believed this tea to have tremendous healing powers, sand it is often called "The Miracle Tea" in South Africa.

Pour 1 cup of boiling water over tea bag, steep for 5 minutes or pour 2 cups of fresh water into Your Pot. Add 1 tea bag and boil it for more than 5 minutes. The longer You boil it, the better it tastes!

For a great taste, try it hot or cold, mixed with your favorite juice or healthy sweetener such as stevia or agave nectar. Red Tea can be used in baking and cooking. Substitute the liquid content in any recipe with an equal amount of ready made tea.

Keeping You Healthy

Fact: The antioxidant activity increases when the Tea is boiled for longer than 10 minutes.

Tastes good with no caffeine Though I am not much of a tea drinker, my wife is. I have found this tea to be palatable and my wife and I enjoy a cup together from time to time. It is something we can drink in the evening and it does not interfere with sleep. December 26, 2012
