Andalou Naturals Medium Hold Styling Gel Sunflower and Citrus -- 6.8 fl oz
I have natural curly hair, and I need to use a gel to define and keep the frizz down. This does the job. Sometimes I do add a touch of a strong hold gel just to get the results I want--not to soft that it doesn't hold, but not too stiff either.

Not for older hair, in my case
Love Andalou, but this particular product left my hair feeling very dry. Had to part with it.

I have finally found a styling product that works with my kind of hair. My hair is thin and frizzy, but it should work with any kind of hair. For me, just a little dab starting at the ends works best. It tames the frizzies, but does not flatten my hair. I'm also happy that it does not contain all kinds of artificial chemicals.

Very light a nice looking on the hair
I do not use it personally but order it for my husband and son on a regular basis. I chose it for them because I was looking for a better ingredient list without parabens and all kinds of junk most brands have. I love the way it styles my son's hair. It doesn't look heavy, wet or stiff at all and it holds quiet nicely. My husband has a very thick hair and is extremely picky about hair products. He really like this one though. It also doesn't cause dandruff or leave greasy feeling to the touch. I like it a lot and we are not going back to the mass production brands full of too much synthetic chemicals of all kinds. Although it seems more expensive than other regular brands, it seems to last longer. It is a far better product for us and the planet. Vitacost price can't be beaten either; plus all products are getting so expensive in stores now that pricewise it doesn't seem that much different anymore. I love the citrus scent when I am near my boys too. It is well worth it. I love this brand as I use a lot of their cosmetics personally.

I am pretty picky when it comes to hair products. I purchased this on a whim, particularly because it has healthier ingredients. I don't like most hair gels. I live in a very humid environment in the summer, and I have used some fairly expensive products trying to tame my hair. I used it once and was surprised. It didn't really weigh it down (my hair is very, very fine, but hard to manage and frizzy) or make it feel coated. I did a test of sorts, you might say, and put some on and then fully knowing it was an unusually high humidity day with rain, waited to see the results. When I got home, my hair had all the curls intact, just like when I left the house. I do admit it feels a little thick when you squeeze it out, so a little goes a long way and I don't think it's something you would want to use a lot of. Just distribute it as evenly as you can and you should be good to go. I would like to try their other products, too.
