Annie's Way in 10 Minutes

1) BOIL: 6 cups water in a medium saucepan.
2) STIR IN: pasta, bring to boil. Cook 8-10 minutes, or until done, stirring occasionally.
3) DRAIN PASTA: in colander. While pasta is draining…
4) ADD: 3 Tbsp lowfat milk to the warm saucepan. (OPTIONAL: Add 2 Tbsp unsalted butter for richer   flavor)
5) SPRINKLE: cheese over milk; stir to combine.
6) ADD: Cooked pasta back to saucepan and stir well.


Annie’s Suggestions: For a RICHER flavor; add 2 Tbsp unsalted butter. For a CREAMY, TANGY version, replace milk with ½ cup lowfat yogurt.

Surprisingly Not That Tasty I was surprised by how bland this was...especially given the good reviews. I added salt and earth balance spread; it still didn't have much flavor. I recommend adding shredded cheese on top...but to me that defeats the purpose of a boxed, shelf-stable product. Definitely needs some tweaking... February 13, 2015

Good stuff! I was pleasantly surprised at how good this tastes. The rice pasta remained firm (al dente) and the cheese was creamy and tangy. I wanted to keep the calories low so I did not add butter and I used coconut milk. I usually get very "gassy" after eating pasta but I did not with this product. I'll definitely be buying this again and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to avoid gluten. July 9, 2014
