Bob's Red Mill All Natural Arrowroot Starch Flour -- 16 oz
Great flour substitute!
I use this now instead of regular flour for healthy paleo cooking. I flour my chicken with a 1/4 cup of this and a bit of pepper before panfrying in coconut oil and cooking in the crockpot and it works great!

Good substitute for corn starch
Use instead of cornstarch. I believe it is lower in carbs, just as easy to use to thicken or coat food.

Okay cornstarch substitute
I bought this for use in a lot of recipes in Nourishing Traditions and for chocolate pudding. I like it as a sauce thickener but not as much for pudding. It makes it more viscous than creamy. Overall it's good and I will continue to use it.

Great substitute for corn starch
And it is better for you.
2 teaspoons Arrowroot Flour = 1 tablespoon Cornstarch (3 teaspoons Cornstarch)
1 tablespoon to 1 cup of liquid, when used as a thickening agent
Also arrowroot flour is relatively neutral in flavor and tasteless. It is a particularly good thickening agent for dishes that have delicate flavors.
Do a search & you'll find out even more about how good Arrowroot is.

Allergic to nightshades? This is great for baking
Allergic to nightshades and love to bake? I did not want to use potato starch for baking and switched to arrowroot and it works great for bread, cake, muffins, etc. Highly recommended!
