Bob's Red Mill Organic Scottish Oatmeal Description

  • Kosher
  • Traditional
  • Stone-Ground

The Original Oatmeal of Porridge of ancient Scotland! Oatmeal originated in Scotland centuries ago and was different from our modern rolled oats. A coarse meal was produced by slowly grinding the kernel between two large millstones. Bob's Red Mill Scottish Oatmeal is produced in the same old-fashioned way and contains all the health-giving nutrients of the best quality oats from which it was ground -- the germ, the oil, and the fiber.

Oatmeal unlike other oatmeal Stone ground oatmeal has always been my favorite, but this is as close as it comes to the original that I've tried in a package. Tasty by itself or with honey or fruit and a good, natural source of fiber. Good quality oatmeal. Never disappointed. June 16, 2015
This is great oatmeal After eating Scottish Oatmeal I can't seem to go back to the old fashion variety. According to what I've read there's more protein because they grind up the whole grain. Not just part of it. I admit this oatmeal stays with you a lot longer too. It's a slow burner. I do add raisins, apple bits, and walnuts with a little touch of honey. May 6, 2015
Yummy! A friend convinced me to try this a year ago and I am so glad she did. This is the most delicious oatmeal I ever had. And very easy to prepare. It only takes 10 mins. The most amazing thing about it is the sweet flavor. Before this I preferred Steel Cut Oats but now my go to oatmeal is Bob's Red Mill Organic Scottish Oatmeal. February 17, 2015
It's Good and it's Healthy for you My husband and I really enjoyed the Scottish Oatmeal. I have been using Steel cut Oats made by the same company and prefer them, but for those who less chewy oats, I recommend the Scottish oatmeal. Either product is a good choice for those who like fiber in their diets as well as good taste and nutrition. December 30, 2014
Great Taste Very Tasty and nutritious hot cereal. I fix a bowl each morning and never get sick of eating it. December 6, 2014
