My family loves the "cream of chicken" soup from the recipe on the back of the pkg. (I add a half cup of shredded carrots, a half cup of shredded green beans and a half cup of shredded chicken.)

The product was fresh and it does have a bit of a funny smell when you first bake stuff. I don't add much to my baked goods but just about less than 10% of the flour mix. I usually add 1/4 cup to a 3 cup mix of Bette Hagman GF all purpose flour. It ups the protien and nutrients with out makeing a big difference in taste and it actually helps the texture of baked goods, IMO. I also use it in the featherlight bean mix. It really improves the texture of GF baking. It makes baked goods moist with out having to use as much xanthan, IMO.

Works well in a Flour-Blend Mix.
I use Betty Hagman's (The Gluten Free Gourmet Cookbook Series) flour blend mixes. Used in small to moderate proportions, navy bean flour works well in a recipe and is NOT bitter.

I have enjoyed many organic flours but this is too bitter for me. I had hoped to have it as alternative for rotation to avoid allergies to my safe foods like kamut , spelt and rice. I will not buy it again.
