Bob's Red Mill White Bean Flour is freshly ground on cool and slow turning, century-old stone-buhr millstones from premium quality small white beans. High in dietary fiber and a good source of iron, magnesium and phosphorus, this nutritious flour has a smooth, nutty flavor. It can be blended with water, milk or other liquids to produce a high fiber, low fat base for soups, sauces and dips. It's also an excellent ingredient for gluten-free baking when combined with other ingredients such as potato starch, tapioca flour and xanthan gum.


Baking Tip: Nutritious White Bean Flour can be added to many recipes calling for wheat flour, thus forming a complete protein. Replace 2 Tbsp. wheat flour or baking mix with 2 Tbsp. White Bean Flour for each cup of flour or baking mix.

Great product The product was fresh and it does have a bit of a funny smell when you first bake stuff. I don't add much to my baked goods but just about less than 10% of the flour mix. I usually add 1/4 cup to a 3 cup mix of Bette Hagman GF all purpose flour. It ups the protien and nutrients with out makeing a big difference in taste and it actually helps the texture of baked goods, IMO. I also use it in the featherlight bean mix. It really improves the texture of GF baking. It makes baked goods moist with out having to use as much xanthan, IMO. August 23, 2013
Works well in a Flour-Blend Mix. I use Betty Hagman's (The Gluten Free Gourmet Cookbook Series) flour blend mixes. Used in small to moderate proportions, navy bean flour works well in a recipe and is NOT bitter. August 6, 2013
bitter taste I have enjoyed many organic flours but this is too bitter for me. I had hoped to have it as alternative for rotation to avoid allergies to my safe foods like kamut , spelt and rice. I will not buy it again. November 6, 2012
