Too refined. Here's the thing: If you're going to give up gluten (which I highly-recommend, after about 3 years), give up regular in-take of refined foods, as well. Limit yourself to occasional indulgences, and choose well. Better to choose organic, non-gmo and even fair-trade, if available. Pamela's baking mix is a great starter for occasional quick-breads (such as banana) mixed with a less refined grain or nut-flour. January 7, 2015
Great for baking GF muffins! Bob's Red Mill White Rice Flour is great for baking. I starting my own company and make Gluten Free and Dairy Free Desserts. I only use Bob's Red Mill flour for baking. Everyone loves my desserts and you wouldn't know they were gluten free. The Flour is great for muffins, scones, and awesome for pie crusts. White rice flour - many uses I don't like to use too much white rice flour in baking as it is gritty. However, it is good mixed with other types of GF flours, it is a great thickener, and it fries well as a coating for browning whatever. May 31, 2014
