California Baby Super Sensitive SPF 30+ Sunscreen No Fragrance -- 2.9 fl oz
Excellent non-toxic sunscreen
I've been using California Baby sunscreen for years...it's not just for babies. :) I began using it because it is ranked as one of the least toxic and but effective sunscreens by the Environmental Working Group. While I wish it were a little less intense/heavy feeling when it first goes on and it does have a white cast, that seems like a small price to pay for a very effective, non-toxic sunscreen. Also, once it settles in, it's not at all bad. I can even put my make up over it without any problems.

This is the only sunblock we use. You don't have to apply much because its thick and you can spread it out on the skin. It works perfectly and its non-toxic!

Effective and expensive
Though this works quite well, Seventh Generation has a similar
(Wee Balm) that for whatever reason vitacost does not carry, for half this price.

Best sunscreen for pale people
I don't have any children. I am an adult and have been using this sunscreen ever since I discovered it back in the day. I think I was still a teenager! I have fair skin and freckles so I consider myself pretty well informed when it comes to sun protection!
They have a scented version of this sunscreen as well but I much prefer the unscented. It goes on very thick and can instantly turn your whole face white if you don't rub it in properly. This is my go-to sunscreen when I know I'm going to be spending time in the sun. It's not magic so you do need to reapply just like with other sunscreens but I am always amazed at how long it lasts between applications. I've used it for outdoor weddings (with a hat, of course!), the beach, hiking, and the dog park.
I highly recommend this for my fellow pale people and also for those who are not pale! Although it's much easier to rub it into your skin if you're already white because the sunscreen is very thick!

Best kids' sunscreen!
This is the best kids' sunscreen on the market. I LOVE that it is chemical-free, because so many other kids' sunscreens are loaded with nasty ingredients like avobenzone. I'd rather pay a little more money than have to worry about what my kid's skin is absorbing! My child has relatively fair skin and this works perfectly on her, even during an entire day on the beach. I've also used it on myself and the protection and absorbency are great. Thanks California Baby!
