Great Product, no MSG I use this rice in all my yellow rice receipes and it works well with all of them. I bought this rice because all the yellow rice in the stores have MSG in them and this one does not. I have been very pleased with the results. February 2, 2012

First Time with Saffron I had never even heard of saffron before trying this product. It was easy to prepare and it came out just fine. I think the smell was a little jarring and of course that did affect my impression of the taste a little. But it tastes just fine really, like any other cooked salty rice dish I would eat. So I enjoyed it and would recommend it to other people. I guess it helps to know what saffron taste and smells like. February 11, 2011

pricey but good This is an excellent saffron rice package. The seasoning is just right and makes a very tasty rice. THe packet of rice is small for the money but is good enough that I will buy more. November 2, 2009

VERY TASTEY I thought this was very easy to make and very tastey too. The amount of seasonings left room for adding any additional ingredients if you so choose. I didn't since I wanted to see how the flavor was as is. September 16, 2008

Casbah Saffroned Jasmine Rice Directions

Stove Top:

In a covered saucepan, add 2 cups water and (optional 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil).
Bring to a boil.
Stir in contents of box cover and simmer until all liquid is absorbed. Stir periodically (approximately 16 minutes). Fluff with a fork, enjoy!

Microwave:
Microwave ovens vary. Adjust temperature accordingly.

In a covered microwaveable casserole dish stir grains and seasonings with 2 cups water and (optional 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil).
Cover and microwave on High for about 6-8 minutes or until boiling.
Stir, cover and microwave on (Medium) for 10-13 minutes or until all liquid is absorbed.
Remove form oven and fluff up with a fork before serving.
