omg! Looked at all the reviews that stated its good when added to coffee. Well, I tried it for myself and found the taste not so appealing. Not all sweetners work well with coffee and this is certainly one of them however, I think that this product would do well to sweeten other foods. April 26, 2013

Good stuff I use it in place of honey in smoothies, ice cream recipes, making granola bars, etc. I found you do need to put a good amount into a larger recipe to sweeten it though. I think they need to redesign the way it pours out on top because it gets really really sticky and messy. Overall, I'd order again! March 29, 2013

Love it I love this stuff. It has a good flavor, its healthy, and it doesn't raise blood sugar - what is not to love? I can't tolerate agave so I substitute this for it in recipes, and for sugar in other recipes to keep the impact on blood sugar low. My only complaint is the bottle is too small. Vitacost is selling it for an excellent price, lowest price I know of. March 14, 2013

Health Secrets of Coconut Nectar

When the coconut tree is tapped it produces a nutrient-rich "sap" that exudes from the coconut blossoms. This sap is very low glycemic (GI of only 35), is an abundant source of minerals, 17 amino acids, vitamin C, broad-spectrum B vitamins, and has a nearly neutral pH.

Small batches ensure that our pure, low glycemic Nectar, made from this natural sap, is a raw, enzymatically alive product, minimally evaporated at low temperatures (only to remove excess moisture and allow sap to thicken), never exceeding an average summer day in the tropics. Some agave syrups are hydrolyzed at temps up to 140 degrees F. for 36 hours, the end product containing 90% fructose, compared to coconut sap which is only 0.5% glucose, 1.5% fructose, 16% sucrose, and 82% inulin.
