Chicken Curry originated in the northwestern Indian state of Punjab. The name "curry" comes from the Indian work "kari" meaning sauce, and is a catch-all term used to describe a wide variety of Indian dishes. This curry is based on a pulverized blend of 10 spices, herbs, and seeds (coriander, turmeric, cumin, mustard, fenugreek, cardamom, cayenne, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves), and is accented by plump sweet raisins and lightly toasted coconut flakes. Inspired by a very popular dish that originated in Punjab, India, this delicious yellow curry has relatively mild flavors, plump sweet raisins, coconut flakes, and hints of ginger, cinnamon and cardamom.
Includes: Curry spices, rice, raisins, peas and coconut.
Cooksimple meals are based on leaner protein, lower sugar, and higher fiber so you feel full with fewer calories.
With a busy lifestyle, a young family and an extra 40 pounds, I didn't understand healthful eating and sure didn't have time for cooking. Years later, after learning better eating begins at home, I created a simple solution for nutritious home-cooked meals that works for today's hectic schedules. I hope these meals help you and your family, just as they've helped me and mine!
